Earlier this year I had the pleasure to catalogue and value a great single owner collection of Vintage Wine.

The collection was bought around 25 years ago and had been stored in a Eurocave Wine Fridge all the time.

The collection contained two bottles of R.E.Clos Vougeot 1999 Grand Cru, Domaine Rene Engel, Mis En Bouteilles A La Propriete, 13.5% vol, 75cl, both selling for £800 each, a bottle of Chateau Ausone 1982 Saint-Emilion 1st Grand Cru Classe, no strength stated, 750ml selling for £200 and a bottle of Penfolds Grange South Australia Shiraz, Vintage 1994, Bottled 1995, 14% vol, 75cl, achieving £170.

Wine as an investment can be difficult but storing it laid down in a Wine Cellar or Wine Fridge is a must. I hold quarterly Fine Wine & Whisky Auctions and I am taking entries for our next sale starting on Thursday 12 th September.
