Following the success of our first standalone contemporary and Lakeland art auction in March, auctioneer David Brookes has scheduled a second for 4pm on July 9th in our main saleroom. David already has some interesting lots consigned, including some by Lakeland artists and some by contemporary artists, but could your art collection or individual piece sell alongside them?
Wainwright is a name that’s always popular with our buyers, as is Heaton Cooper, whilst artists like Helen Bradley also reach high hammer prices (one Bradley watercolour sold with us at £12,000).
Already catalogued for the upcoming Lakeland and contemporary art auction are:
Lot 1007: Oil Painting by Fred McJannet, Derwentwater, Est £70-£100
Lot 1010: A pastel sketch by Zohar of Shells, Est £70-100
Lot 1015: Oil Painting by G Charrentier, Dockyard, Est £200-250
Peachy Slumber by Tiana Marie (known as the Lakeland Painter of Light), Est £120-180
Please contact David for an informal discussion regarding items you may wish to submit to the contemporary and Lakeland art auction (015395 66201).
